We're looking for an engineer to participate in the development and engineering efforts for high volume patient sensors and accessories (S&A) for medical devices used in critical care and anesthesia devices.
Essential Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Support electro-mechanical design and IB projects within our engineering team and with suppliers
- Design and verify outcome to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
- Provide expertise for verification and testing activities within assigned projects
- Interact closely with core team members, sourcing, quality and global vendors to meet project deliverables and goals
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Knowledge of highly regulated businesses (like medical)
- Demonstrated skills in working within a diverse global environment
- Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying and driving closure on product related issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- EU work permit
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Experience in highly regulated businesses (like medical) or in high volume sensor and accessory projects
- Know-how of accessory/sensor technologies and electro-mechanical design requirements
- Experience with new product development or design change development cycle
- Knowledge in working in regulated industry under quality management system, preferably medical industry
- Practical experience with design tools, reliability and manufacturability
- Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives
- Proven capability to produce technical documentation for a medical device
