We are now looking for a Researcher to join our Analytical Services and Method Development Team. This is a temporary position between 1.10.2020 – 31.12.2021.

Based in Lappeenranta, Finland, the UPM Research Center comprises the research and development for the global operations of UPM-Kymmene Corporation.

What you’ll do

• Participate in development of biomedical products and production technology
• Developing and validating new analysis methods and troubleshooting of methods in use
• Analytical result interpretation
• Cooperate closely between UPM Biomedical team and laboratories

Who you are

• You have at least Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering
• You have experience in method validation planning and execution, reporting is seen as an asset
• You are customer orientated and have good communication, networking and team work skills
• You have good problem solving and organizing skills
• You are determined and flexible and able to make decisions independently
• Experience with nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) is seen as an asset
• You are fluent in English and Finnish
