We are now looking for an active & experienced Supply Chain and S&OP Planning Manager to join us in Surface Drilling Division. This is a permanent position based in Tampere, Finland, where Sandvik has a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment. In this role you will be an active member of Supply Chain and Operations Management team.

Your mission

As Supply Chain and S&OP Planning Manager, you will lead S&OP planning, global equipment order handling and supply chain management teams and be in charge of the supply chain development. You are also responsible for managing and leading global demand and inventory planning, tactical supplier development as well as production and capacity planning. You will lead supply chain management system implementation and development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and lead global demand and equipment supply planning
  • Manage and lead production, production inventories and buffers planning as well as global equipment inventory planning
  • Develop forecasting and S&OP processes and improve forecast accuracy
  • Maximize supply chain agility and material flow by developing and integrating supplier collaboration
  • Search cost saving and improvement possibilities in the entire supply chain
  • Develop supply chain management and measurement system
  • Create close collaboration and parentships with frontline, suppliers and other stakeholders by actively communicating

Your background and what we find important

You have a University degree in a related field, preferably a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Management and minimum of five years’ experience and proven results in supply chain and S&OP planning. Previous experience from sales or frontline seen as an advantage. You have a solid understanding of supply chain’s impact on production flow and business. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, and factory physics as well as strong project lead skills is seen as an advantage. You have excellent influencing skills and an ability to develop trusted collaborative relationships with other divisions and business stakeholders. Communicating fluently in Finnish and in English is mandatory.
