We are now looking for a Software Developer to join our Design Solutions team in Helsinki, Finland. The position is permanent and full-time.

What software would I develop in this role?

NAPA Design Solutions team develops ship design software. Our 3D modeling and design functionalities are the most powerful in the industry, making ship design process the best it can be. Built-in development and customizable capabilities enable users to automate repetitive tasks and include user-specific ship design know-how into the system.

As a software developer your workday includes implementing new features to NAPA Steel, our software for designing ship structures.

What technologies would I use and how is the team?

We use technologies including C# and WPF and we have implemented agile software development practices. Our design team works well together, therefore we are looking for a solid team player who enjoys collaborating with other developers, clients and other stakeholders in ship design industry worldwide. You will work in a team of around 10 persons including experienced developers, a UX expert and a QA engineer.

You could be a good fit for this position if you have experience in developing or using CAD software. Background in maritime industry is also an advantage or if you’re familiar with structural design in some other industry.
