We continue to grow at a rapid pace and are now looking for a GROUP CONTROLLER to be based in Helsinki.

In this role, you will work in Nordcloud’s financial department. Your main job will be providing timely and accurate reporting to our management and external stakeholders. You will also ensure compliance with and advice on group financial and management accounting policies and procedures. As a Group Controller, you will constantly develop the quality and efficiency of the Group’s accounting and reporting processes. You will be responsible for preparing consolidated accounts on a monthly basis. In addition, you will be responsible for financial planning. You will work closely with our business controllers, business units, subsidiaries’ finance teams and outsourced accounting partners.

We are a team of 9 self-driven finance professionals who love to work and have fun together. Our manager Tuomas is a very easy-going guy who will give you a lot of freedom at your work, for example in terms of flexible hours and organizing your daily work in the way you see fits the best.

On a daily basis you will

• take ownership of group consolidation process and play key role in the monthly group closing process together with global teams
• build, maintain and ensure compliance with group financial accounting policies and processes
• constantly develop the quality and efficiency of the Group’s accounting and reporting processes
• work closely with and provide support to the global cross-functional teams
• lead and participate in selected finance and accounting development projects
• cooperate with external auditors in other European countries

Reporting to the CFO of Nordcloud, you will be located in the center of Helsinki. This position may require irregular travel within Finland and to other countries where Nordcloud operates.

To be a successful Group Controller you should have

• relevant educational background, e.g. a Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting
• 7-10 years of experience on a similar position, preferably from an internationally operating company
• good knowledge of FAS (Finnish Accounting Standards), IFRS and general finance know-how
• fluency in spoken and written Finnish and English
• prior experience from auditing (KHT) and ERP system implementations are considered an advantage
• experience from wider responsibilities within smaller companies is also considered an asset
• ability to work independently with drive & self-motivation
• good communication skills and openness to new ideas
• "Hold my beer - I got this" attitude
