About the Position 

As the Domain Lead Performance & Rewarding you will play a significant role in the design of distinctive solutions for our ~19,000 people. You will be expected to – and motivated by – taking a holistic and strategic approach to performance and rewarding, understanding how to use these levers to drive performance and shape the culture of the organisation. Location for the position is open.

Critical Success Factors (immediate priorities): 

  • Set an overarching Performance and Total Reward strategy considering Group and Business area needs

    • Identify specific areas with special needs 

    • Create modular structure and solutions 

  • Creating a strong link and relationship with the businesses and other functions to understand and earn their trust as a business partner 

  • Supporting the change to a more performance-based culture 

In this role, you will focus on the following: 

  • Be a visionary expertise leader and change agent who will continue the transformation of the HR strategy and people priorities to align with the company’s ambition and global operating model. Drive an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas in Rewards and Performance that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry.  

  • Be a strategic partner to senior leadership to define, develop, communicate and execute the performance and rewarding philosophy and strategy, ensuring that all compensation and benefits programs align with the company’s strategy as well as support the individual business’ needs, and support, driving a high-performance culture, attracting and rewarding top talent. 

  • Ensure all performance and rewarding programs are competitive with the marketplace, sustainable, scalable and integrated with business systems and have a positive impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization.  

  • Effectively follow and communicate trends, opportunities, legislation changes and other relevant related data on a timely basis to the executive team and, when appropriate, recommend a course of action to effectively manage impacted/assigned plans.  

  • Consult with and provide direction, guidance and solutions to global HR and business leaders on performance and rewarding matters.  

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as finance to optimize value, reduce risk, evaluate options, and make recommendations to executive leadership on all reward and benefits matters. 

  • Manage high-level relationships with consultants, benefit and service providers, insurance carriers and other vendors 

Your people leadership responsibilities will be: 

  • Develop, mentor and retain high-performing performance and rewarding experts focused on strategic collaboration with a solution-oriented approach to achieve business results.  

  • Lead a team of performance and rewarding experts, defining the appropriate team structure roles, responsibilities and interdependencies; establish objectives and priorities; develop capabilities within the team.  

  • Work effectively across reporting lines within the Communities of Expertise, across HR and the business, in project mode covering agile and traditional waterfall. 

About You 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with: 

  • Experience of working with, advising and influencing Senior Leaders 

  • Experience in connecting performance, rewards and company culture  

  • Extensive expertise in performance management, compensation, benefits, pensions, equity, recognition across multiple countries is a must.  

  • Agile working and excellent prioritisation skills.  

  • Strong ability to analyze data and discern business insights.  

  • Good knowledge of compensation governance guidelines, compliance, and reporting requirements, particularly in stock listed companies eg. Finland CGC and SHRD II.  

  • Knowledge and experience of devising and implementing compensation programs (staff, professional, executive, base salary design, incentive pay, job evaluation, etc.)  

  • Knowledgeable and appreciation of regulatory considerations, data privacy, and labor unions in global geographies and understands taxation nuances at local levels.  

  • Previous experience or interest in working with Performance & Rewarding domain to support a performance-driven culture  

  • Have a proven record of achievement that includes both strategic thinking and operational execution and be both excited by supporting to drive HR initiatives, but also comfortable taking “centre stage” on Performance & Rewarding.  

  • Have experience of operating at pace, influencing in complex stakeholder environments and unafraid of being innovative to achieve results and “test the boundaries” of what is possible.  

  • Have experience of working with, advising and influencing Senior Leaders, in organizations with significant international exposure 

  • Proven track record in coaching and managing individual and team performance to ensure successful execution of work; demonstrated ability to develop teams for high performance and build a deep bench of talent 

  • Demonstrates curiosity and capacity for learning
