We are now looking for an Accountant, Fixed Assets to General Accounting & Entity Close team (GAEC). We offer you the opportunity to work in an international and energetic environment. 
 
GAEC team is located in Vaasa, Finland and we are focusing on global processes and solutions related to general accounting and closing processes. In this position your role is to take care of the fixed asset accounting for Wärtsilä companies globally. We are involved in the entire lifecycle of a fixed asset: we open the investment master data in the SAP system and maintain the master data and the accounting entries for the fixed assets throughout their lifetime. 
Fixed asset accounting includes for example opening fixed asset and investment order numbers, capitalizing of leased assets, making changes to fixed assets, posting depreciations, asset sales and asset disposals, as well as supporting businesses with fixed asset reporting. We also aim to develop and harmonize the fixed asset process throughout Wärtsilä.

 
Position information:

This position is temporary for 10 months and the location of this position is in Vaasa, Finland

 
Your main responsibilities are:

• Handling of the fixed asset register and asset accounting globally 
• Ensuring the proper entry of the lease contract data into SAP according to the global process, updating and maintaining settings of the contracts
• Performing fixed asset accounting bookkeeping, maintaining fixed assets master data and handling the period end closing tasks for assets
• Supporting end-users in fixed asset accounting and investment reporting related issues
• Developing and harmonizing fixed asset process and way of working to improve and optimize fixed asset activities in Wärtsilä

 
Main requirements in this role are:

• Financial education – M.Sc or B.Sc in Financial Accounting
• Understanding of fixed asset accounting, IFRS16 and other areas in financial accounting
• Fluency in English. Other languages are an advantage.
• Good customer service and communication skills

 
In addition, as an ideal candidate you:

• Have work experience from Financial Accounting area
• Are willing to develop further the fixed asset accounting process and participate in automation and optimizing tasks
• Have knowledge and experience of SAP, FI and CO module
• Are pro-active attitude, self-going, fast learner and good team-worker
• Have a systematic and organised way of working, paying attention to details
