KONE Technology & Innovation is a global organization of technology, design and IT experts who research and create new technologies for innovative People Flow® solutions.

We are looking for Summer trainee, People Flow Optimization in our team,

which is responsible for KONE’s traffic planning tools, intelligent elevator group control and people flow analytics development. These solutions enable the best customer and end user experience in the urban world. As a software expert with good mathematical skills, you will participate in a technology project as a developer of advanced people flow simulation and/or people flow analytics tools. We expect you to be a team player with the ability to work independently in a well-organized manner. The position is located in Keilaniemi, Espoo (Finland).

Skills, Education and Experience
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in physics, (applied) mathematics, statistics or computer science
• Studies taken: at least 50%
• Optimization, data analytics and/or machine learning skills are an asset
• Good skills in C/C++, Python/Matlab/R, knowledge of Qt and OpenGL are an asset
• Capability to find solutions and work independently
• Good team worker with excellent communication skills
• Persistence when facing challenges, ability to follow issues through to completion
• Written and verbal language skills: Finnish, English
