We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join our forward-looking Test Slot Planning team of six working for a better future. The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland.

What you will be doing

This position as Development Engineer will support the development of testing tools and material management to secure Wärtsilä technology leadership in the new build-up Test Slot Planning function within Research, Development and Engineering / Testing & Validation. The work will also include process and way of working development to secure the best utilization of resources, equipment, and facilities.

As Development Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Tools and process development for RDE material management (Robotic Process Automation, SAP, WeBuy, Power-BI)
  • Support the development of testing tools (DotConnector, Fliq, Smart Quality System)
  • Participate in building up of effective test slot planning

You will shine in this role, when you have:

  • Robotic Process Automation experience
  • Technical background and education (BSc or MSc or equivalent)
  • Willingness to develop tools and processes to be more efficient
  • Strong personal drive, ambition in taking own initiatives and being pro-active
  • Good communication, team working and negotiation skills
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English language
  • SAP knowhow is seen as a benefit
