We are looking for a Development Engineer with a main responsibility to lead, execute and implement development projects and method development tasks with delivery & assembly teams and needed stakeholders. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. Other locations cannot be considered. This position is on-site.
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Development Engineer your work will include developing STH production environment including facilities, methods, processes & way of working. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working in Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub, Product Delivery organisation (DC STH PD) as a part of dynamic Development team with diverse expertise.
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Lead and execute development projects by planning, implementing, and continuously improving product development models and ways of working in collaboration with teams and stakeholders
- Utilize development tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, problem-solving techniques, time studies, and LEAN methods to enhance production processes
- Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders both internally and externally, ensuring smooth project execution in both Finnish and English
- Build strong development capabilities by fostering continuous improvement in production environments, methods, and organizational know-how
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
- BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- DC STH Product portfolio manufacturing development experience
- DC STH Manufacturing ecosystem know how
- Experience of MS Office tools, Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
