We are now looking for a Senior Network Specialist to manage and take ownership of our DDoS protection service platforms. In this role you will get the opportunity to influence and shape the way Telia Company network security is implemented.

Major part of the assignments we conduct end-to-end ourselves and some are handled by facilitating 3rd party support. In this role, your assignments will be various. The primary focus will be on DDoS platform lifecycle management and development, including the co-operation with the vendors. You will also participate to DDoS protection operations and participate actively in developing the DDoS service.  

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Managing the lifecycle management of DDoS service platforms

• Participating in building and enhancing Network security architecture

• Working closely with development, network operations and security teams to implement network security practices and controls 

• Readiness for weekly on-call duty providing Tier 3 support with respect to Tier 1 and Tier 2 units

• Working in tight co-operation with Tier 3 DDoS specialists

• Working closely with interfacing units on securing best practices, lessons learnt and competence sharing

• Developing DDoS service capabilities in co-operation with offering, customers, and technology units

• Training for Tiers 1-2 and delivery team

Your Experience:

• You have good experience from working with network maintenance, -operations, -planning or -security in a senior role

• Experience and extensive skills in network and/or IT administration

• Good knowledge for TCP/IP, Network protocols and network architecture

• Scripting and programming skills

• Knowledge and experience of managing DDoS solution

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Swedish and/or Finnish
