We continue to grow at a rapid pace and are now looking for a Financial Controller to be based in Helsinki.

In this role, you will work in Nordcloud’s financial department. Your main duties will include administering and coordinating the compliance processes with our outsourcing partners. You will also participate and ensure a smooth and timely monthly group closing process for selected entities/branches globally. In addition, you will ensure compliance in group reporting with IFRS and Nordcloud accounting principles for the selected entities, as well as perform other finance related tasks.

About the team

We are a team of 9 self-driven finance professionals who love to work hard and have fun together. You will get a lot of responsibility but also freedom at your work, in terms of flexible hours and organizing your daily work in the way that fits you the best.

You will report to the Group Controller and work closely with our outsourcing partners and auditors globally, as well as with the rest of our finance team. The position is based in the Nordcloud HQ in Kamppi, Helsinki.

To be a successful Financial Controller you should have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field
  • at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in different accounting functions
  • good basic knowledge and understanding of accounting standards (FAS/IFRS)
  • ability to work in a global organization supporting several stakeholders
  • well-organized, systematic ways of working and excellent time management skills
  • team player spirit and willingness to grow within accounting
  • service-minded, flexible and proactive “hold my beer, I got this” -attitude
  • fluent written and spoken English skills - other languages such as Finnish, German or Swedish are beneficial
  • experience in cash management or treasury functions is also considered an advantage
