We at the Global Security Operations Center are in the frontlines of Telia Company’s cyber security operations. About the role 

We are now looking for a team member to work with abuse handling, cyber security monitoring and cyber security incident response tasks. We are constantly developing our way of working and seeking to improve our processes, automation level, tools, and customer experience. You will get opportunities to take part in development actions and improve operations along the operational work.

Junior Security Specialist position will be your starting point to learn and become more senior and known security specialist with focus area we define together – we provide learning path and support the growth in expertise.  

About you 

You have a strong interest in technology, and you have experience in either servers/operating systems, network-, mobility-, server-, cloud- or IoT-technology. You have also built yourself understanding how cyber security can support to enable stable and long-term technology solutions.

As a person you enjoy challenges, root cause analyzing is in your comfort zone, and you enjoy making analyses of data. You can also manage routines though your congenital laziness is seen as seeking the solutions for the root cause and for automating reoccurring manual steps. Your colleagues praise your ability to find solutions and improvements for the ways of working.

You are quick to learn, and you are not afraid to share your views and ideas. You have high ethical standards and people around you trust you and want to co-operate with you.

As a Junior Cyber Security Specialist, you will work in the following areas: 

• Manage our customer connections in Abuse Management   
• Take part in development of Abuse Management process and automation
• Manage Security Monitoring Events in SIEM
• Act as tier one specialist for internal Cyber Security Incidents response
• Work in co-operation with senior security specialists to manage vulnerabilities and incident investigation
• We expect you to have readiness to be part of an on-call plan and routine

You have several of the following competences:  

• Working experience in IT/network/mobile domain
• BCS or higher educational degree in IT, information systems, network engineering, cyber security, or other relevant area
• A focused individual who can keep several tasks running in parallel. You must be able to work under stressful conditions and be able to perform under pressure
• Excellent in one or more Nordic/Baltic language skills and fluent English skills both written and spoken (Swedish language is considered as benefit)
• Creative and focused with good written and verbal communication skills 

Selected candidate needs to pass Security Clearance in Finland.
