Do you know why it’s called new space?

ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data already available to customers. These satellites can take images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark. Information derived from these images will help our customers understand the world better and help them make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite in January 2018 and have raised $152M in financing to date.

We are looking for an experienced InSAR Remote Sensing Engineer to support our Analytics team based in our headquarters in in Espoo, Finland.

Challenges you’ll help us solve:

Our Analytics team builds InSAR processing capabilities and conducts hands on InSAR analysis. You will work on developing InSAR analytical products for various use cases.
To do so you will develop and apply InSAR workflows to generate elevation, deformation and coherent change detection products from ICEYE data. You will interpret obtained results in terms of physical processes, evaluate quality of the results and their fitness for particular use cases.

Your background and skillset:

  • PhD or similar experience level related to InSAR
  • Strong SAR theoretical knowledge
  • Hands on experience with several InSAR processing software tools
  • Software development experience, preferably Python

Nice to have:

  • Experience building large scale InSAR processing
  • Specific PSI and DS domain knowledge (e.g. infrastructure, oil&gas)
