Wärtsilä Energy Business is looking for a Purchaser to strengthen the Procurement team. As a Purchaser, your workdays mainly consist of contacting internal and external stakeholders, as well as following up and securing correct purchasing activities. 
 

Position information:

We are offering an 11-month temporary position which will be filled as soon as possible.
Possible locations for this position are Vaasa and Helsinki, Finland.

Responsibilities:

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for project-related purchasing activities within nominated categories, such as securing and coordinating the deliveries according to project requirements and suppliers' lead times.
You are also responsible of offer evaluations and project-specific purchase negotiations with suppliers. In your work, you will also ensure alignment and cooperation with strategic sourcing and logistics.
You will actively develop a way of working in cooperation with different stakeholders.
 
Requirements:

  • Commercial or technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language.
  • Experience from a similar position with a proven track record.
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills are required as work involves communication globally and locally, internally and externally.
  • Solution-oriented, pro-active, problem-solving and result-driven attitude is needed in this position.
  • Accuracy and analytical skills support to succeed in this role.
  • Team player with a self-guided approach.
  • We're looking for an enthusiastic person with a growth mindset.
