Energy Business - Construction and Commissioning Services is now looking for a Commissioning Engineer, Electrical.
 
Your main responsibility is to plan, lead and manage electrical commissioning activities at project site. This position will therefore see you travelling abroad, around the world, approx. 250 days a year.
 
This position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment, working on new build power plant commissioning works. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. Location:
Home office location is either in Turku, Vaasa or Helsinki, Finland.
 
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute testing protocols to achieve commercial operation, based on market rules, local requirements, and contracts
• Support preparing and maintaining commissioning time schedule
• Ensure that commissioning plan and performance tests procedures are followed
• Organize start-up and tests of equipment within the scope of the contract
• Ensure that all test results are documented according to Wärtsilä instructions
• Ensure that safe and calibrated test equipment are used
• Drive continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problem-solving knowledge to enable other organizations to effectively resolve customer problems and inquiries
• Maintain good customer relations and team spirit at site
• Co-ordinate commissioning works with mechanical and civil sections
• Safeguard the compliance with HSE policy and minimize the risks in own section
• Ensure that safe commissioning practices are followed
• Ensure safe and reliable function of the plant and equipment

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering 
• Familiar with relevant codes and standards
• Understanding of utility generation construction, and commissioning practices.
• Working experience in similar tasks preferred 
• Good communication and team building skills 
• Willingness to learn and adapt new technologies 
• Willingness to travel 
• Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments 
• Good command of English, both oral and written 
• Other languages are seen as an advantage 

Please note that relocation costs and/or immigration support in moving to Finland is not available for this position.
