We are now looking for a  

Digital Marketing Specialist, Africa and Europe Area to strengthen the team.

Preferred locations are Helsinki, Turku, Vaasa (Finland), Cape Town, Johannesburg (South Africa), Dakar (Senegal), Paris (France), Winterthur (Switzerland).

Main responsibilities are:

• Accountable for planning and executing digital marketing activities with the goal of supporting the Area’s market development and sales targets.
• Building, publishing and maintaining local websites and campaign landing pages using Wärtsilä’s website tool Sitefinity.
• Setting up email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, and producing email invitations using Wärtsilä’s marketing automation tool Pardot.
• Creating copy and visuals for local social media posts. Following up engagement with these posts and facilitating dialogue, together with Energy experts.
• Organising webinars and supporting AFEU Energy experts with their presence at 3rd party webinars, online conferences and other virtual events.
• Planning paid search and account-based marketing campaigns for the Area with execution support from the global digital marketing team.
• Tracking results, optimising actions along the way based on data and striving for maximum return on marketing investment.  
• Work closely with the Area marketing team, Area Growth & Development, Area Sales and the digital marketing community within Wärtsilä.
• In addition to your main focus on digital, you will also support with face-to-face event implementation.

An ideal candidate: 

• Has minimum 3 years working experience in marketing, communications or related work, preferably in an international environment 
• Is skilled in key digital marketing processes such as website (including search engine optimisation and paid search), social media copywriting and community management, paid social, marketing automation and email engagement programs, organising webinars and other digital events.
• Has excellent and proven planning and project management skills combined with analytical and creative mindset
• Has understanding of energy markets and power generation
• Is familiar with and able to use digital marketing tools and platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot, Sitefinity, Social Studio, Google Analytics and SEO tools like Brightedge.
• Has insights and interest in the energy transition in Africa and / or Europe. Ability to produce content for digital channels in French and German is considered an advantage.
