Why you should apply

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer who will join the team focusing on the landing site of the product and help develop solutions that enable our business to grow and scale. You’ll be working in an independent autonomous product team and take ownership of major parts of Yousician’s web flows. You’ll develop, maintain and optimize Yousician’s main landing site (Wordpress) and related public web ecosystem. You’ll have a unique opportunity to profoundly impact the lives of hundreds of millions of future musicians worldwide and re-imagine the way music education works.

What you’ll do

• You will take the ownership of the Yousician landing page (Wordpress) and work closely with the marketing team to keep the landing site on the state of the art level and support us with the required statistical data to improve our business. 
• You’ll be responsible to grow the site features for hosting more meaningful content for the users. 
• In terms of team work, you’ll work closely with product managers and designers to understand and translate user needs and business requirements into high-quality code. You’ll also collaborate with backend engineers to jointly create best software solutions across the backend and frontend. 
• Maintainability, robustness and clean code considerations are always on your mind and you make sensible trade-offs between performance, readability, maintenance and resource usage.
• Actively participate in code reviews, while keeping an open mind about the processes we use and suggest improvements.

Who you are:

          Must have:

• Advanced knowledge of Wordpress and familiarity with common JavaScript tools and frameworks like ReactJs and Redux/MobX.
• You are passionate about what you do and have a high interest in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise. 
• Good understanding of building fully responsive and efficient web sites. 
  
  Nice to have: 
  
  
• Experience working with REST-based API backend (our stack: Python, Flask, MongoDB) is a plus
• Experience with user activity tracking tools or SEO
• Experience with CRM systems deployment/ optimisation
• Experience with Twig and/or Bedrock
