We are now looking for a Tech Lead to work for OP Group in Helsinki or Oulu campus. In this significant role your responsibility is to Lead the technical solutions and architecture to meet the business targets for Private Customers Tribe.

AS A TECH LEAD 

You will participate in the architectural work and lead the software development for the tribe. You will work closely together with our Lead Developers, Enterprise Architects, IT Area Leads and Business Leads – and with both internal and external partners. You have a vision and a roadmap for developing and renewing systems in this respected area. You will essentially be building and implementing the tribe’s technology roadmap. In this role you will bring architectural decisions to our Lead Developers, who then implement those architectural guidelines into mobile digital services. Partly architectural and partly tech manager role, you will turn these guidelines into technologies and an implementable roadmap following the OP ICT strategy. This can then be followed by the 10 teams in the tribe. In practice this is to get the most out of legacy systems, while maintaining them too, always some kind of small development work there to be done. One key element of your work is to manage or reduce the technical debt of our systems. Based on your vision and experience, you give your input to cloudification work which is being one of the cornerstones of our ICT strategy.

As a Tech Lead you will be the bridge between enterprise architecture and development. You will be the bridge between enterprise architecture and Lead Developers in the Privat Customers tribe.

What we expect from you 

To be successful in this position you could be the kind of Technical Manager who likes people well enough to lead them, but without needing to be their boss. We lead people utilizing the CALMS framework.

What we are looking for in your application

• Experience as a Solution, Software or System Architect, experience as an Enterprise Architect is an asset
• Experience from software delivery on strategic level
• Enterprise Agile understanding and ability to help in deploying respective practices in teams
• Cloud Migration, AWS
• General understanding of DevOps
• Experience of Container technologies, AI, working together with Data Science
• Early experience in hands-on coding in Java, React
• Strong skills as networker, you are a natural with people 
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
• Ability to lead technology work and make cost-effective sustainable decisions, sometimes under pressure
