Your next challenge?

As an AI Solution Engineer at Telia you are responsible for driving the hands-on technical development of one of Telia Finland’s top strategic priority analytics programs. You partner with data scientists, business developers and other developers to help design and implement practical end-to-end machine learning solutions involving mainly Telia’s textual data assets. You will use your skills and vision to act as a technical leader for this group of data scientist and developers.

You might have a solid background in software development, but want to learn and focus more on building data solutions that utilize machine learning. You wouldn’t necessarily think of yourself as a data scientist, but you’re familiar with the most common open source ML frameworks, like PyTorch, Keras or Tensorflow. You can also build and implement machine learning solutions as microservices yourself, if needed. Hopefully, you have practical experience in working with data projects and know the common pitfalls as well as how to avoid them.

Who are you?

As a practical thinker, you’re motivated and excited about building concrete data-heavy solutions that have a real impact. You have a curious mind and enjoy working hands-on designing, developing and deploying software solutions. You don’t have to know everything about building machine learning solutions, but you’re a quick learner and eager to develop yourself within this area. We hope you are a believer in the power of working together and that together we can achieve far more than individually and have more fun.

Your experience & personality:

• Practical experience from a variety of software projects, preferably involving data pipelines, machine learning models and building microservices
• Understanding of common practices and methods behind machine learning, especially NLP/text analytics. And you’re eager to learn more
• Understanding of managing structured and unstructured data
• Experience with open source machine learning libraries, especially Tensorflow and/or PyTorch
• Fluent Python programming. Skills in other languages such as Java are considered a plus too
• Experience building microservices and Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
• You’re familiar with the software development practices such as CI/CD and version control
• You have technical expertise to personally execute solutions that you help us design. Getting your hands on code is something you love to do
• You have a can-do attitude and passion for challenging yourself with new technical problems
• Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
• Co-operation with stakeholders with fluent English and Finnish
