We are now looking for a

PROJECT COORDINATOR, SERVICE PLATFORM

to join the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE), AIF Team at the University of Oulu. Allied ICT Finland is the largest research to business ICT network in the Nordics.

Smart Campus program targets to increase the impact of research infrastructures. The program includes both the University of Oulu campus and national level cooperation for campuses infrastructure development. Smart Campus is a strategic theme supported by the 6G Flagship Program and Allied ICT Finland network.

Your role as a coordinator is to cooperate with research groups to bring research innovations for piloting on campus. This assumes ability to match research interests with business potential. After piloting task is to coordinate transferring of research innovation pilots into selected real life environments of enterprises and public organizations for service development and delivery. To ensure successful pilot transfer and service launch you secure technical support availability to partners. You will focus specifically on agile development of services with long-term road mapping, establishment of RDI cooperation networks and project preparation related to upscaling of research innovation pilots. In addition, you have ability to discuss with the partners for converting their needs into research topics.

 

What we expect:

1) Background, understanding and track-record of technical platforms, including experience within service interfaces. Further good understanding of technical documentation.

2) Experience in partnership cooperation.

3) Developing long-term relationships between internal research and external partners.

4) Knowledge and/or quick learner of technical topics.

5) Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

6) Solid track-record on working within platform on either technical documentation, roadmapping, project preparation/management or services development.

7) Higher academic degree in a suitable area.

 

Detailed information about tasks

Research platforms

- Technical descriptions of selected platforms

- Piloting of research infrastructures in cooperation with research units

- Service definition and offering of research infrastructures

- Pilot planning and project initiation of research platforms and services

 

Cooperation networks

- Networking in internal cooperation networks related to research infrastructure services

- Networking in external cooperation networks related to research infrastructure services

- Resolving, roadmapping and project initiation based on needs of cooperation partners

- Smart Campus - Smart City cooperation with city of Oulu and other key cities

 

Projects

- Project initiation based on research infrastructure to advance RDI activities

- Running pilots of selected partner cases

- Ensuring successful implementation of service environments
