We are looking for a R&D Engineer in electrical engineering at ABB Oy, IEC LV Motors division in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design of industrial motors. Your task is to working in global product development projects from the concept stage through to finished products. We offer you a challenging role in the international working environment and opportunity for personal development.

Your responsibilities

Acting as an electrical designer of low voltage motors using ABB’s state-of-the-art design tools. Converting customer needs into technical specifications and products. Actively collaborate with project team as well as other stage holders for the project. Learning about and educating yourself to understand the factors behind economically competitive electrical motors.

Your background

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering. A few years’ work experience in electrical engineering and product development projects is beneficial. You have analytical and logical mindset. You enjoy working with product development. You are self-driven, and you have good teamwork skills. Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish. Knowledge of Low Voltage Motors would be beneficial.
