We are looking for a Project Engineer at ABB Oy, Energy Industries division in Vaasa. In this position, you will be responsible for executing and coordinating HMI engineering activities for gas- and diesel-engine power plants. We offer you an opportunity to work with electrical/automation customer projects in an expanding project organization, utilizing ABB's local and global project resources and technology. This is a challenging position in a global working environment. You will have the opportunity to extend your technical skills in different segments. In this role, you will get to be part of a young and motivated work community. The Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager.

Your responsibilities

Organizing and executing HMI engineering activities for gas- and diesel-engine power plants Ensuring project engineering activities are professionally and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements Serving as a technical reference within the HMI discipline for the project team, suppliers and customers Cooperating with Project Managers, project team members, customer representatives and other stakeholders

Your background

A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical or automation engineering Relevant HMI experience Experience of Windows Server solutions Experience of network construction/configuration Knowledge of piston-engine-driven power plant automation systems or commissioning activities are seen as an advantage Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish or Swedish A results-oriented, innovative and collaborative performer Experience of PLC programming is an advantage
