We are now looking for two Software Developers to work in one of our awesome network automation teams. Depending on your experience level, your position can be Lead/Senior Developer or Software Developer.

Business area

Positions are open ineDAM(Elisa Data&Automation Machine)team which aims toautomatedelivery and service assurance processes ofcorporate customers’LAN & WAN services.eDAM’smain goalis to createsoftwaretoautomatizeconfiguration ofrouters and switches.Our software generates customer specific configurations andsets up devices automatically.

Team

So far there has been one software developer together with network experts working in eDAM team, but we’re now growing the team to speed up the development and to form a small and independent agile team.

In Elisa, we are devoted to the products that we are developing. This means that we keep the quality up, our code fresh and the technical debt very low by doing i.e. refactoring constantly. And we are always looking for ways to learn, improve and work even more sensibly. Our new team will work closely together with network domain experts.

Technologies

We’re workingwith modern software tools and DevOps practices. Oursystemis based onevent-driven microservicesarchitectureusingApacheKafkaand Neo4j graph database.It’swrittenmostlywithKotlin,along withsomePythonandGolangand runs on cloud platform utilizing Kubernetes.

You don’t have to be a guru in Graph databases or in Python or Golang. If you have enthusiasm in learning new things by doing that’s good enough. You will alsohave an opportunity to gaindomain experience and understanding on IP/MPLSand other telecommunication network technologies.

Things we are looking for

• Extensive experience on some JVM based language, preferably Kotlin
• ExperienceinJavaScript or TypeScript and React
• Practical knowledge ofDocker & Kubernetes
• Experience on event architecture and messaging (i.e.Apache Kafka)is a plus
• Interestto improve ways of workingin theteam
• Ability to understand Finnish is a plus
