We are now looking for a Supply Chain Controller / RELEX Key User for UPM Biocomposites. The position is a temporary maternity leave replacement of approximately 1 year and is located in Lahti, Finland.

UPM Biocomposites business develops, manufactures, markets, and sells high-quality composite products for outdoor end uses in construction (UPM ProFi) and granulates for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications (UPM Formi). UPM Biocomposites is one of the Europe’s biggest natural fibre composite manufacturers and its factories are located in Finland and Germany. UPM Biocomposites is part of UPM’s new businesses. What you’ll do

In this role, your main tasks and responsibilities would be:

• Coordinating and running UPM Biocomposites S&OP process

• Acting as RELEX -system key user

• Stock optimisation and planning

• Developing supply chain processes e.g. workflows and system flows

• Optimisation of product portfolio availability in cooperation with Sales and Production

• Close collaboration with Sales, Production and other key stakeholders

• Identification of bottlenecks in make-to-stock model and implementing corrective actions

• Sales order prioritization

• Enabling a high level of service to customers under all market conditions while maintaining inventory / capital costs at a reasonable level – balancing service and cost

• Following stock value development and implementing corrective actions proactively

• Planning internal transfers between the production units

Who you are

• You have at least a bachelor’s level degree (or are at the final phase of studies) in engineering, economics or similar

• You have experience and / or relevant studies in supply chain management

• Practical experience of SAP and, especially, RELEX systems is regarded as an asset

• You have proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with high level competencies in Excel and analytical tools

• You have a customer focused mindset with great level of flexibility

• You have excellent communication skills in English and Finnish, both verbally and in writing. Other language skills are regarded as an asset

• You are a self-driven person with ability to prioritize and work under pressure

• You have a strong sense of drive and enthusiasm combined with excellent team player skills

We expect that you are willing to have operational responsibilities and to keep up with the ongoing issues. As a hands-on person you move quickly from tactical level planning related tasks to routine type of work.

Additional information

Job description will be formulated based on the needs of the organization as well as the experience of the selected person. Due to the nature of decking sales, the workload is expected to be relatively high during the months of April – August.
