We are looking for a Project Management Specialist to join our Project Planning & Development -team in the Research & Development and Engineering function to strengthen our project management capabilities. The position is temporary (1 year) and located in Vaasa, Finland. 

As a Project Management Specialist, you will support our development projects and initiatives in project management-related areas. You will be working closely with project teams on topics such as project scheduling, budgeting, scoping, resource- and risk management, as well as ensuring our practices follow the guidelines and processes. In addition, you further develop our practices and way of working to continuously improve our performance. Your role will be to act as an integrator and facilitator in project teams to ensure we are reaching our objectives and targets.

Responsibilities:

Support and execute different Project Management tasks with the Project Manager and project organisation: 

• Facilitate and ensure high-quality project plans, including time schedules, budget plans, risk analysis and resource plans, in cooperation with the Project Manager and project team 
• Monitor the progress of projects, manage changes and update the plan according to needs
• Maintain data quality and Demonstrate project compliance with Company Project Management Methodology and Business Directives
• Support in Project Management development and deployment activities, including acting as a mentor in all areas of project management and training related personnel
• Develop & implement project and project portfolio management processes, as well as tools to meet the needs of business 

 
About you:

• You are an energetic, positive and development-oriented person who holds a B.Sc or M.Sc -degree in a suitable field of expertise
• You have some work experience, preferably in the field of project management
• You value teamwork and work well with different people and stakeholders
• You will use English on a daily basis in your work, and skills in Finnish and/or Swedish would be an advantage
• The ability to present your work’s outcomes to the project team is essential, as well as, in general, good communication skills
• Interest towards operational development-related activities will help you as we continuously aim to develop our way of working
• Even though teamwork is the focus, you have the ability to be self-driven and can be productive when working independently
   

Experience in one or more of the following is seen as an advantage:

• Project Management 
• Agile Project Management Methodologies
• Project Portfolio Management 
• Development & implementation of processes/procedures
• AI and machine learning
• Experience in data analytics and PowerBI is seen as a clear advantage
