Key Responsibilities

Almost everything in our homes is getting connected online ranging from personal devices like smart phones and laptops to TVs, baby cams and washing machines. As Mikko Hyppönen, our Chief Research Officer puts it: ‘If it’s smart, it’s vulnerable’. This myriad of connected devices and online services we love to use is making it difficult for people to understand how best to protect themselves, their families, and homes against everchanging online threats. Complexity is the enemy #1 to cybersecurity.

We’re now looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our Connected Home Security solution. In this commercial role, you’ll own the product business from P&L perspective and define our vision, strategy, and roadmaps to reach set targets. You will be in a central role in the execution of the strategy across a cross-functional team including business development, sales, product marketing and R&D. To succeed in this role, we expect you to be an experienced strategic leader with proven track record in launching software products for consumers in a new and fast-evolving market and track record of commercial success.

Unique to F-Secure and this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with our 200 Communication Service Provider partners such as fixed broadband and mobile operators to define how consumers across the globe can be protected. We’d therefore expect you to be driven and you’d thrive engaging with our service provider partners on senior business management and product business level, as well as engage fluently with home networking specialists. Equally important would be to advance our strategy when it comes to ecosystems and standardization activities around connected homes, while creating new business opportunities together with our router manufacturer, home WiFi experience providers and other solution partners.

What are we looking for?

• Proven track record in launching consumer products and commercial success (B2C or B2B2C)
• Strategic thinking and business planning skills turned into actionable execution plans with different functions to ensure your solutions drive real business impact
• Capabilities to collect and prioritize business requirements for a competitive roadmap covering consumer and partner needs
• Ability to create market awareness and thought leadership based on competitive positioning with our marketing teams
• Previous experience managing product or product portfolio P&L
• Ability to be the spokesperson for the solution and represent it towards customers, industry and the press
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language and ability to engage with customers on senior levels
• Knowledge and previous work history in cyber security industry and communication service provider segment are strong assets
