Our team is a part of Elisa's Production Network Services unit and Fixed Access department. We are looking to expand our team's expertise within fixed access network technologies and thus looking for a new team member!

Job description

The task focuses primarily on cable modem and GPON technologies, but also includes working on other fixed access technologies. The work includes management of technologies throughout their life cycle, as well as actively participating in vendor management, testing, defining parameters and creating instructions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate Elisa's various technology groups and take part of different projects through these.

The first year of this assignment is extensively related to cable modem and GPON related assignments.

In this team you will have great opportunities to work together with and learn from other top professionals in fixed network technology and automation. In addition to the team, the most important partners are equipment manufacturers and several stakeholders in Elisa, with whom we actively network.

In order for you to get the most support from the team and carry the task out successfully, your main working location is Helsinki. However, like in all of Elisa, our working culture is super flexible and you may work wherever you feel most comfortable.

Who are we looking for?

As this task focuses on development, selection, lifecycle management and testing of fixed network technologies, we expect you to have solid experience in this area. You know fixed network technologies well and have experience in related management and testing tools. You have good networking skills and may even have established networks with fixed network suppliers.

In addition to a theoretical understanding of new fixed network technologies, a self-initiated “can do” attitude is invaluable in the task, both in independent work and as well as in team and virtual team work situations.

Fluent English is required, Finnish language skills are a plus.

Please note that the chosen candidate must undergo a legitimate background check, which in turn requires having lived in Finland for a good amount of years.
