Wärtsilä Marine Power, Global Planning, is looking for a Specification Engineer to join the Specification Management team. This opportunity is offered permanently and is located in Vaasa, Finland.
Specification Management is an internal function of Global Planning. Our common target is to ensure that produced engines include sold options and all deliveries will be completed according to the delivery schedules. We can provide a great supportive working atmosphere with highly motivated professionals in a solid cooperative team where you can also always feel free to discuss and share your ideas. You will work as one of the key persons in the middle of order to delivery process where you can see your personal performance results in practice. We are developing as a company and improving our processes and way of working all the time, so we can ensure that you will also have a role in continuous improvement actions and other development streams.

As a Specification Engineer, your work will focus on:
• Creating and maintaining engine technical specifications and bill of materials according to the inputs from separate stakeholders and organizations for customer deliveries
• Close cooperation with Project Management, Production, Material Management, Technology and other supportive functions
• Engine specifications and bill of materials to be created and maintained according to the production program
• Provide As-Manufactured bill of materials of completed deliveries for Service use
• Design release implementation process
To meet the below requirements will enable you to shine in this role:
• B.Sc. in Engineering, or equivalent
• Demonstrable knowledge of MS-office, ERP systems (SAP) and PDM systems (Teamcenter)
• Design for manufacturing and manufacturing bill of material experience
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Knowledge of Project management
• Previous experience with 4-stroke engine products
• Fluency in English and Finnish, both written and verbal
• Team player who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
