Wärtsilä Cyber Operations is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst for Wärtsilä Security Operations Centre (SOC). Wärtsilä SOC detects, assess, analyses, contains and remediates security incidents. Wärtsilä SOC is a 24/7 function and delivers a centralized cyber security incident response service to Wärtsilä business ecosystem.

Preferred Wärtsilä location: Finland, UK, Singapore (current presence of Wärtsilä Cyber Security organization)
Wärtsilä SOC has three levels for cyber incident response:
- Tier 1 analysts who search logs and process, alerts, and other categorized events to identify and escalate abnormalities.
- Tier 2 analysts are the incident responders who triage the events, analyse activities, and apply appropriate mitigations.
- Tier 3 analysts are there to act as subject matter experts within cyber incident response. Tier 3 personnel provide the last line support in Wärtsilä SOC cyber incident response.
Wärtsilä Cyber Operations is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst for Tier 3 support.
Your responsibilities as Senior Cyber Security Analyst are to:
- Act as a trusted senior advisor for Wärtsilä internal stakeholders
- Respond to security threats and lead incident response escalations from Tier1 and Tier2 teams
- Forensics and investigation lead during more complex and difficult cyber incidents
- Support cyber incident response in an efficient and effective manner
- Develop, contribute, and implement runbooks/playbooks for Tier1 and Tier2
- Act as Wärtsilä SOC security incident process lead
- Support and advise in closing off cyber security incidents
- Conduct threat hunting of emerging threats and vulnerabilities when possible
- Develop and plan pre-emptive Cyber Security activities to reduce Wärtsilä attack surface
- Improve cyber incident awareness and understanding in Wärtsilä ecosystem
Qualifications and skills:
- Willingness and motivation to learn
- Service mindset, possess a curious and with positively contributing attitude with individuals who might be in defensive mode
- Strong collaboration, communication and reporting skills, lead team player with excellent soft skills with proofed experience
- Critical thinking skills, problem solving attitude, attention to detail, containment, and eradication efforts, strong experience about IR (>5 years) with IR team management
- Cyber security or software/hardware engineering related certification (SANS Institute, ISACA, CompTIA, etc.) is an optional plus
