You will be joining our dynamic BioPharma Services team, with experienced professionals spread out in different countries, working at the forefront of health and life sciences.

As Director of Business Development BioPharma, APAC you will focus on expanding our BioPharma market presence and identifying opportunities to increase our BioPharma programs. In this role, you will be maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients and establishing a network of colleagues and decision-makers to drive growth. You will represent Blueprint Genetics and be responsible for building and managing our footprint across the Asia-Pacific region.

Your main tasks will include

• Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients and evaluating their program needs to drive growth
• Establishing and developing long-term relationships with industry partners and BioPharma clients
• Driving BioPharma projects and supporting internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of a project Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure our internal teams are informed, prepared, and trained on the deliverables for a project
• Supporting clients in all aspects of our BioPharma programs
• Negotiating terms on service agreements and work orders for individual projects
• Developing strategies to enhance and improve our value proposition
• Delivering scientific presentations to key decision-makers
• Attending sales meetings, promotional events, and conferences.

What we expect from you

This is a cross-functional role that requires scientific and commercial background and existing networks to succeed. We are looking for a dynamic team member that is excited about taking on this new role and helping shape our business. You are passionate about genetic diagnostics and biotechnology, and you are an eloquent speaker able to represent Blueprint Genetics in a wide variety of events. We hope you are self-driven with exceptional communication and presentation skills. You understand and collaborate effortlessly with experts with versatile backgrounds, and you form professional relationships quickly and enjoy networking. Our Ideal candidate would have:

• A BSc or MSc in science (e.g. Biological Sciences)
• Strong understanding of clinical genetics and the laboratory diagnostics industry, as well as experience working with BioPharma and CRO’s on research studies and clinical trials
• 10 years of experience with a focus on commercial activities (sales, marketing, business development)
• Project-based experience in life sciences and healthcare(eg, laboratory diagnostics, BioPharma, biotechnology) or other related fields is an asset
• Experience in conducting and completing negotiations to support a diversity of project tools including contracts, service agreements, and other legal instruments
• Excellent presentation skills to represent Blueprint Genetics at medical, scientific, and public events 
• Great networking and interpersonal skills
• Self-driven and proactive way of working
