We are a small and agile team of professionals at Telia Towers Finland Oy, and we are now searching for a Senior Legal Counsel to complement our crew. Telia Towers Finland Oy is part of Telia Company but has a clear focus on long-term, investment-oriented tower business.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will have a versatile legal role and possibility to be an important part of company’s legal and business processes. In this position there is also an international aspect to legal questions, since external shareholder owns minority shares both in Telia Towers Finland Oy and Telia Towers Norway AS. You will be reporting to CEO of Telia Towers Finland Oy.

Your main responsibilities:

• Customer agreements
  • Legal support in negotiating and closing customer agreements
  • Participate in agreement and pricing negotiations with customers
  • Participate if needed in vendor/subcontractor agreement negotiations
  • Develop and maintain frame agreement, site agreement models as well as general terms and conditions and other annexes to the agreements in co-operation with business management
  • Securing that Telia Towers Finland Oy´s agreements are up to date in relation to legislation in force

• Land lease and land purchase agreements
  • Legal support in negotiating land lease and land purchase agreements, especially in dispute settlement cases
  • Participate if needed in agreement and pricing negotiations with real estate owners
  • Develop and maintain land lease and land purchase agreement models
  • Secure that Telia Towers Finland Oy’s agreements are up to date in relation to legislation in force
  • Facilitate building permission handling processes, if needed in difficult cases

• Regulatory and authority process handling
  • Participate in responding to authority requests and processes
  • Follow-up relevant regulation
  • Participate in relevant telecom industry regulation working groups

• Follow-up and influence new legislation initiatives having effect on tower business, especially in the areas of
  • Competition laws
  • Telecommunications legislation and regulative environment
  • Joint construction and use of infrastructure
  • Land use and building act
  • Other relevant legislation
  • Risk analysis

Is this you?

We expect you to have wide set of skills in legal and several years’ experience especially in telecom area legal matters. You feel at home when dealing with large agreements and participating in difficult negotiations.

Your personal characteristics:

• Business-oriented
• Capability of comprehensively assess complex legal matters
• Quick to adapt to new challenges and competence areas
• Works constructively under pressure
• Positive and stable, even in tough situations

Your experience:

• Several years’ experience especially in telecom area legal matters
• Agreement drafting skills and experience
• Wide experience in regulation and competition law area
• Master of Law or equivalent
• Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English language is required
