Future IT is currently looking for Lead DevOps Engineer to help transforming Telia into the Digital Future. You will be a driver, coach, and evangelist for the DevOps transformation in Telia and Telia IT.

I am Mats Sköldborg and I am leading team Delivery Transformation in Future IT. We are a great bunch of people, running lean-agile coaching activities all over Telia, and I am super proud of every member of our team.

The role we are looking for is a technical oriented coach, change agent and DevOps evangelist. You will will promote the business benefits and advantages of DevOps and drive and coach implementation towards TeliaCompany goals of “100% CI/CD”.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• coaching and supporting Telia units creating DevOps strategies and implementation plan

• supporting and advicing on DevOps process and technical capabilities and solutions, also including Security

• hands-on support and coach in implementing / building process and technical capabilities

• relevant communication, training and coaching of team, management teams

• supporting and coaching teams in continuous improvement on process and technical capabilities

Is this you?

As Lead DevOps Engineer you will have a key role within Future IT. You will be part of a high performing team focusing on DevOps transformation in Telia and Telia IT. You have a deep knowledge of telecommunications sector, as well as a background in driving or being part of successful DevOps change and transformation programs in large and complex organizations. You quickly understand the depth and breadth of various situations and challenges, and with a lean-agile mindset, can identify methodologies, technologies and solutions to innovate and add value to the Telia organization.

Your personal competencies:

• You are an influencer, evangelist, and very good communicator

• You are a coach and can motivate people by your own example

• You are a structured, transparent, and a result-oriented planner

• You are a problem solver and have high skills in driving improvements, innovation, with a lean-agile mindset

• You have a strong process and technical background from Software Development and Operation, and Security, including development process and tools, code governance and IT operation, security frameworks

• Fluent in English, both in written and verbal

Your Experience:

• You are experienced and have track record of success implementing and coaching DevSecOps implementations in large and complex organizations

• You have a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment, where collaboration experience is of essence

• Strong, positive track-record of innovation and collaboration – able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, engaging their input and commitment to success

• Experience from practical implementation and use of DevOps processes and technical capabilities e.g.,

  • Strong knowledge in Source control, automation, and CI/CD frameworks (tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Azure, AWS)

  • Strong knowledge in container orchestration and trunk-based development (tools like Kubernetes)

  • Strong knowledge in security and compliance processes and tools

  • Strong knowledge in operations and monitoring frameworks (tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, Apache, Terraforming)

  • Good knowledge in Test frameworks, process and tools

  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies

  • Good foundation and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, application security
