We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Producer to join our team of Elisa Viihde professionals!

This is a unique opportunity to build the fast-evolving entertainment business in Finland. The executive producer has end-to-end responsibility for Elisa Viihde original series, from development to launch.

Sustainable digital entertainment services provided by Elisa Viihde include tv-services Elisa Viihde Mini and Elisa Viihde Premium, and streaming service Elisa Viihde Viaplay. With the cultural footprint of nearly 40 million euros in 2020, Elisa Viihde is one of the most significant supporters of Finnish series and movies. Elisa Viihde is also one of the biggest commissioners and exporters of Finnish drama with +25 original series premiered to date and sold to +50 countries. Hit titles include internationally distributed and critically acclaimed original series ’Ivalo’, ’Mister8’, ’Bad Apples’, ’Pohjolan laki’, ’Man in Room 301’, ‘All the Sins’, ‘Shadow Lines’ and ‘Bullets’.

As Executive Producer you are responsible for commissioning Elisa Viihde original series. You work closely with production companies, acting as a point person for the development and production from conception to premiere. You work across commissions: identifying talent, developing new projects, and covering current original series.

You will be located in our HQ in Pasila, Helsinki, but we are flexible when it comes to work locations and like all of Elisa, we truly believe in giving the employees the responsibility of working where you reach the best results.

As Executive Producer your work includes

• Overseeing development and production of original series slate you are accountable for
• Ensuring that the projects meet high creative standards and are delivered on time and within budget
• Seeking out ideas and concepts that demonstrate value, quality and originality
• Maintaining a close relationship with our partners and identifying new talent, locally and internationally
• Leveraging deep understanding of audience needs when seeking new projects
• Maintaining expertise to identify trends and opportunities for outstanding content
• Working across financing and contracts
• Collaborating with creative, commercial, marketing and communications

To be successful in this role, you have

• Vast understanding of scripted content, experience in producing, commissioning, acquiring or in creative roles
• Ability to attract and engage creative talent and to create the conditions where creativity will flourish
• Keen interest and talent for finding and developing great content
• Experience working on international productions
• Capability to organize, prioritize and deliver successful results when managing multiple projects
• Ability to make quick decisions, manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger picture
• Ability to analyze financing plans, budgets and cost reports
• Experience in contract negotiations
• A suitable Master’s level academic degree
• Fluency in Finnish and English

Overall, you have passion for drama and great editorial judgement, and you are perceptive and able to identify key trends. As a skilled communicator and collaborator, you can engage and inspire people around you.
