You’ll join the team that is responsible for how new customers start their membership and eventually end it, one lifelong-skill richer. You get to work on this challenge with a committed team, discovering improvement opportunities and experimenting with different solutions together. This role is a great match for a curious designer, who is interested in understanding the business impact of their design work.

What you'll do

• Together with your team’s product manager, identify the user problems worth solving and the new ideas worth pursuing.
• Design how our customers learn about the value of our product and start their membership, both on our website and within our music learning app. 
• Design how our customers manage their membership and eventually end their customer relationship with us.
• Be the primary design owner of our yousician.com website and the related sections of our design system.
• Together with a product manager and UX Writer, define how we communicate the value of our membership to our customers. 
• Design the communications that we send to our members about their membership, be it push notifications, emails, or in-app messages.
• Work through the full design process from early ideation to finalised UI designs. This role emphasises the need for strong UI design and visual skills, but we hope you are able to work on user flows and UX concepts as well.
• Collaborate closely with your cross-functional team members in an agile environment. 
• Work on user journey maps, user flow descriptions, and prototypes to communicate the desired user experience.
• Revise and iterate on designs based on user validation, A/B testing, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate across team limits to drive a cohesive user experience across the user journey.

Who you are

• You have at least 3 years of product design experience with released digital consumer products. We care more about your attitude and motivation than years of experience, and can adjust the role based on your experience and interests.
• Your portfolio shows high-quality work in UI & interaction design for websites and mobile apps.
• You have experience, or very strong interest, in conversion optimization and designing checkout flows. You are curious to experiment and learn how design changes impact business results.
• You care deeply about our customers and want to continuously learn more about their needs and motivations to play. 
• You are at home with iterative, user-centered design methodologies, and familiar with usability and accessibility concerns in product design.
• You are comfortable presenting your ideas to stakeholders. You can explain the reasoning behind your choices, but remain open to adjusting based on feedback. 
• You are a proactive team player, and able to cope with evolving priorities in an agile environment.
• You have good collaboration and communication skills in English.
• You follow the latest developments and trends in product design.
• You’re fluent with Figma.
