Plant Automation Engineer

Team introduction:
- Team consists of automation engineers working with commissioning of the automation systems in Energy Business projects
- Team members travel globally most of time (250 days or more a year)
- Due to the nature of the job, the home office location in Finland can be chosen freely (Vaasa, Turku, Helsinki)
Responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning and testing of the plant automation systems in Energy Business project deliveries (power plants)
- Attend signal tests and functional tests as a commissioning team member to ensure high quality of the delivered system and good customer satisfaction
- Attend project commissioning meetings
- Report the progress, test results and identified improvement items accordingly
- Ensure customer satisfaction as a company representative during the site execution
- Prepare travel expense reports carefully by following the guidelines
- Support other projects as a Remote Support Engineer in between the site assignments
Expectations:
- B.Sc in industrial automation or corresponding
- Good command of English, oral and written
- Willingness to travel and work abroad for longer periods
- Knowhow and competence in industrial automation field, typically used equipment are
- Siemens (300 / 1500) & Schneider (M580) PLCs
- Wonderware InTouch HMI
- Moxa & Fortigate network devices
- Windows Servers
- Vacon & Danfoss frequency converters
- Schneider power monitoring units & protection relays
- ABB AVR generator controllers
- Understanding of the electrical systems and production of the electricity are seen an advantage
- Team player skills and attitude
- Positive mindset and open to learn new
- Ability and willingness to produce appropriate documents and reports
- Ability to work in multicultural working environment
