Wärtsilä Customer Assistance Warranty Services, Warranty Management Europe - Africa, is looking for a Warranty Expert.

Location

Preferred location is Finland or Norway.

As a Warranty Expert you will work closely with warranty management functions and other stakeholders to secure prompt resolution of all warranty related issues within own area of responsibility. The role also requires close and professional customer interaction to ensure quality improvement and implementation based on client claims and via technical input or expertise. You also follow up claims with customer and warranty management.
You are a person who is proactive, service minded, and you are good in customer understanding. You can work under pressure and have excellent, proven team working skills. In addition, you have good problem solving and decision-making capability. 
 
Responsibilities

• Manage warranty related issues with own area of responsibility
• Secure corrective action in a timely manner, meaning problem solving, technical request and utilization of field service resources.
• Coordinate parts shipments and reverse logistics related to claimed components
• Engage supplier warranty management in root cause analysis and solution development
• Follow Wärtsilä business ethics and rules
• Constantly share lessons learned with team members and other stakeholder to improve the overall performance

 
Requirements

• Technical knowledge 
• Working experience within relevant industry
• Engine product experience is beneficial
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Contractual and commercial knowledge 
• Cultural knowledge
• Database experience e.g. SAP is beneficial
