Come and coordinate a skilled Security Operations Team, CERT in our Global Security Operations Center! We have offices across Nordics and Baltics.

We at the Global Security Operations Center are at the frontline of Telia Company’s cyber security operations. Our mission is to prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents and improve Telia’s resilience against cyber security risks. We are a multinational team operating in several countries. Technical competence, creativity and willingness to continuously learn are held in high regard.

We are now looking for a manager to lead our CERT team. The responsibilities of the team are ranging from Cyber Intelligence to Cyber Security Monitoring, -Incident Response and Abuse Handling. As the manager your most important task is to enable the team to achieve their goals in their work. This includes agreeing on common targets with the GSOC leadership team and build development roadmap for Security Operations at Telia. It includes breaking the targets down to tasks with the team, following up their progress and clearing up any obstacles preventing their completion. You will be the personnel manager for the team, securing continuous skills development opportunities and availability of tools and resources the team needs. You will also act as an operations manager providing input to key stakeholders and management. Finally, you will be part of the GSOC leadership team and substitute for the head of GSOC when needed. 

The Head of CERT requires technical knowledge and fluency with Cyber Security operations processes/services. Knowledge of operational processes will be needed with setting and handling expectations with our internal clients and sparring and coaching the team. The most important role, however, is that of a servant leader. In other words, supporting the security specialists in solving problems and building new capabilities, evolving our services to be proud of.


As a Head of the CERT, you will work in the following areas:

  • Provide personnel leadership, guiding and coaching to GSOC Security Specialists
  • Lead the work on setting targets and plans for future work. Follow up, support and enable the ongoing development work
  • Own the Cyber Security Incident Response, Abuse handling and DDoS protections services. Take the responsibility over and handle the budget and forecast associated Operations
  • Ensure the skills development of current security specialists while supporting their career development and taking care of the recruitment of future security specialists
  • Be part of the GSOC leadership team and substitute the other managers and the head of GSOC when needed
  • Represent GSOC in security operations to internal clients, stakeholders and management
  • Participate in to technical and operational work when needed

You have some of the following experiences and competences:

  • 5+ years working experience in at least one of the following areas: cyber security operations, security engineering, cyber security incident lead, security management, technology management
  • Leadership experience, personnel leadership experience with multi location organization
  • Understanding of cyber security operations and associated technology like SIEM, AV/EDR/NDR, Incident response and forensics processes and tools, vulnerability discovery management and tools etc.
  • Understanding of operating systems, networks, web applications and public cloud technologies, some hands-on experience preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with English and at least one Nordic or Baltic language

Position will require Security Clearance to be passed in Nordic/Baltic country.
