You will be joining our dynamic EMEA commercial team, with experienced sales professionals spread out in different countries, working at the forefront of health and life sciences. We are looking for an independent contractor who can join us full-time and is based preferably in Croatia or Slovenia in a location with good transport connections, as the role will require regular travel.

Job Description:

As a Genetic Services Consultant, you will support our sales activities within the Balkan region. In this role you will be supporting our collaborators, and meeting with physicians, genetic counselors, and decision-makers in hospitals/medical centers/regional and national labs to introduce and promote Blueprint Genetics diagnostic products. The role also requires attendance at applicable scientific meetings. You will represent Blueprint Genetics and be responsible for driving growth and brand awareness within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients (both direct customers and companies/distributors)
• Expanding our test menu utilization in existing accounts and increasing sales by signing new accounts
• Developing demand by introducing new diagnostic services and protocols
• Assisting in establishing regional action plans and market strategies to drive growth
• Executing sales strategy and meeting targets
• Providing superior client service and analyzing needs to achieve sales goals
• Managing client data in the company database using CRM
• Facilitating problem-solving and customer satisfaction
• Hosting and assisting with company-sponsored trade shows and conferences
• Providing input for marketing and product management efforts
• Monitoring calls for tenders

Qualifications:

We are looking for a results-driven colleague with a customer-centric mindset and enthusiasm for promoting our brand, selling our services, and partnering and networking with customers and collaborators. You will need to be located in the region and have access to enter local hospitals and institutions. We hope you have existing networks and several years of relevant work experience, enabling you to easily take ownership in your work. You have exceptional communication and negotiation skills in English and preferably in Croatian or Slovenian as well. Our ideal candidate would have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, genetics, chemistry or medical technology
• Profund understanding of methods in the field of modern human genetic and rare hereditary diseases
• Experience in the field of genetic diagnostics or biotechnology sales
• A proven track record of success selling a broad laboratory testing portfolio to various medical specialties in the genetic diagnostics field
• Existing relationships with potential clients is required
• Good knowledge of the healthcare and reimbursement systems in the region
• Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in handling complex accounts
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent English language skills are required
• Motivation to work both independently and as part of a larger team; results-driven
• Strong time and territory management skills
• Travel commitment up to 50%
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong experience using CRM software – Salesforce or Microsoft CRM is a plus
• Ability or willingness to work as an independent contractor
