Senior Sensor Fusion Engineer

As a Sensor Fusion Engineer at u-blox you are responsible for the heart of u-blox’s cutting edge navigation devices. With your experience and profound knowledge in the domain of GNSS navigation or related technologies you are the specialist for inertial navigation systems deployed in land-based, sea- and airborne vehicles for which accurate and reliable positioning even in challenging environment is a key factor. You are familiar with navigation concepts based on fusing diverse measurements, such as from GNSS and MEMS. You are eager to draft new technical concepts, evaluate their feasibility, derive specifications and, finally, design and implement optimized algorithms into our embedded GNSS real-time systems. You swiftly support our product development teams and application engineers regarding testing, documentation, quality control and software maintenance. You enjoy being part of a motivated, international team engineering the next generation of u-blox’s innovative and competitive Dead Reckoning navigation solutions.

Your Responsibilities

•    Realization of feasibility studies, technical concepts, and specifications

•    Design, implementation, and testing of new sensor fusion features

•    Contribution to or technical lead of research and development projects

•    Preparation of technical documentation

•    Quality control and error analysis

•    Providing workarounds or fixes for bugs and nonconformities

Your Skills and Experience

•    Programming skills (C/C++)

•    Software Version Control (GIT or other)

•    Sound standing knowledge and experience in navigation and related technologies

•    Profound scientific and engineering skills, such as mathematical and physical models, data analysis and statistics, Kalman Filter

•    Team player with good communication skills (English)

•    Knowledge and experience in GNSS, Inertial Navigation Systems

•    Experience with agile Software development (SCRUM)
