Siemens EDA are currently looking for a Senior Firmware Developer to join our Veloce(R) X-STEP(TM) R&D Team on a permanent contract to be based from our office in Oulu, Finland The role is to develop firmware for the Veloce X-STEP products and related integrations with other Veloce products in collaboration with rest of the development team. What role will you play? As a firmware developer you will craft, implement, test and debug features for our hardware products. Your daily work is done around our RTL and HLS blocks which are core of our real-time 5G functionality. What we expect from you: Document your design (usually together with other designers), let others review it and then implement it. Commit working code, perform constructive code reviews for peers and help develop the team’s ways of working. Strong communication and teamwork skills (both written and verbal) demonstrated through firmware documentation, collecting requirements, and communicating with team members on daily basis. You share what you learn, help others to achieve their goals, learn standard methodologies from your peers, and understand when to ask for help. You will come with the ability to work independently with little supervision. You take initiative to find your next task, consult others if priorities are in conflict. You just make things happen.
