The Tampere plant is a global technology and manufacturing center for rock drills and drill rigs.

A development oriented professional with great collaboration skills - looking for new opportunities for your career? Underground Drilling Division is now looking for a proactive Production Development Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position and based in Tampere, Finland.

Your role

As a Production Development Engineer, your main tasks include continuous development of production processes, tools and methods. You analyze, create, and implement improvements to meet current and future business targets. Work also includes coordinating and actively participating in projects related to the manufacturing processes, such as improving safety environment and shortening assembly throughput. You work closely with internal stakeholders, such as planning, purchasing, purchasing, logistics and production planning.

What are we looking for?

You have a technical education suitable for the job, such as an Engineer or M.Sc. degree. You desire to learn new things and enjoy a changing environment where you get to collaborate across functions and lead development activities. You have a development way of working and good interpersonal skills. Understanding our production and products is considered as an advantage.

Good problem-solving skills, courage to challenge yourself and visionary insight are required for the successful completion of work. You’re technically confident and have an ambitious drive to engage and take on future challenges. Previous development of production processes and knowledge of Lean methods is seen as an advantage. As we work in an international business environment you need good English language skills. Work is project-based, so we hope that you will have experience in project work and/or their management.
