Our agile team is now scaling further and looking for new talented member to join the crew. We do software development with modern tools, DevOps practices and tech stack.

We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer to take hands-on approach on working with our test experts and help us scale up our Virtual Network Operation Center (Virtual NOC) product. Elisa's NOC has been fully automated since 2010. Today, no one is required to operate the NOC, and we are now selling this solution to customers worldwide.

Your main tasks would include:

• Leading testing with value- and risk-based approach and close collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Collaboration with other area experts to build common best practices.
• Hands-on approach to testing - manual testing for agile value-based testing and automation where it fits best based on your insight.
• Prioritization together with business - given testing time-boxes and available people in projects.
• Smart test maintenance - keeping tests up-to-date and deprecating tests that do not add value anymore.
• Analysis of test results, report founded bugs and triage right priorities.

In return we expect some things from you:

• Proven experience of leading testing activities with hands-on approach, automation and processes, including coaching more junior colleagues.
• An understanding of modern test automation tools and processes, as well as CI-systems as part of software development, to the level where you know when not to apply test automation.
• Passion for software testing and test automation and eagerness to take these to the next level
• Hands on experience in creating and maintaining (scripted) automated tests.
• Knowledge of different test types and test design techniques, ability to choose best suitable ones for different situations.
• English language skills

The important technical skills to master are:

• Key technologies: JIRA, Robot Framework, Github Actions, ArgoCD
• Better than basic programming skills (e.q. Python, Kotlin)
• Different test automation tools
• Version control tools (Git, Github or equivalent)
• Bug management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla or equivalent)
• Knowledge about tools like Github Actions, ArgoCD and Kubernetes
• Knowledge about various SQL databases example MySQL, MariaDB
