Elisa is looking for a Chief Data Officer (CDO) to join our Elisa team. In this role, you will lead our global data and analytics mindset to foster our customer-focused quality culture, where innovations flourish. Shortly, the Chief Data Officer will lead, build, and develop data & analytics operations in Elisa Production unit. You will oversee generally Elisa’s data and analytics functions and collaborate closely to process automation experts, as well as strengthen our focus in customer-centric digital services. Being up-to-date to the latest data science, analytics, and trends and their impact on business strategies and operations is important in this position.

As we say in Elisa, you will never work alone! The CDO leads an operation with teams of true data and AI experts. In addition, you will also collaborate closely e.g. with world-class marketing and digital service developers, telecommunication gurus and top leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead data and analytics operations as a part of Production unit
• Recognize the power and potential of data to support Elisa strategy and take the strategy to concrete actions, which consider e.g. customer-focused digital services
• Advise the Elisa’s leadership teams on analytics value opportunities and translate business problems into specific analytics and technology-enabled solutions, with the operations you lead
• Coach the supervisors reporting to you to lead the teams of data scientists, who focus on data-related analytics, insights and conclusions that enable Elisa’s digital businesses to improve their services
• Set clear objectives and success measures for the data and analytics operations and provide updates on the performance of the organisation
• Enable your teams to develop AI and Machine Learning based solutions to build predictive, descriptive, and behavioral models for various business needs. Briefly, be a catalyst for innovations!

Qualifications

In this role the following qualifications will help you succeed:

• Over eight years’ work experience of leading a data and analytics operations, including several years’ supervisor responsibilities
• Applicable university / post graduate degree, giving you a solid base to understand data analyses, predictive modeling techniques, as well as good overview of emerging methodologies like AI and machine learning
• Ability to think strategically, and as a continuum, the ability to lead complex, strategic, and operational initiatives to results. Track record on strategy work and its’ deployment in the area of data and analytics.
• Experience on performance metrics and understanding their respective impact on business strategy. Track record on a customer-focused solution.
• Management experience e.g. on planning of analytics resources is important, but even more important is that you employ coaching leadership to your daily work
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
• Recognized experience as a leader which led teams to the development of new tools, methodologies, and problem-solving approaches is ‘a plus’!
