Our name is Consumer Services Development and we are part of Elisa’s Software Services. We innovate and create digital products that meet our customer needs in a sustainable way. We are a talented team of Designers, Architects, and Engineers, supported by modern management.

We are looking for Senior Software Developer to join our Content Delivery team. The products we develop are the backbone of services like Elisa Viihde and Elisa Kirja: everything from content ingestion to cloud recording platform and content delivery network. We build our platform using modern technologies, open source, and best-of-breed software components, spicing it with machine learning to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.

We deal with large amounts of requests that we must understand before we can deliver content to the customer. That happens in fractions of a second as we are perhaps enjoying a movie.

You might already know how to build modern video and audio assets and you understand the processing involved in preparing tens of thousands of assets for streaming Live TV, recordings, or video on demand.

We have built the infrastructure and software to sort this out. Our mission is to develop, cherish, teach, and maintain them so they meet our needs and allow us to build upon it and innovate.

To do this, we:

• Use programming languages like Python and LUA
• Develop CI/CD pipelines that fit our needs
• Analyze collected data and open customer feedback so we can improve
• Find suitable algorithms and software products to avoid reinventing the wheel
• Use cloud solution based private cloud one and GCP, but we are not allergic to AWS
• Use dedicated infrastructure for a reason, you probably know the answer and we will ask it in the first interview
• Approach our problems with an agile mindset
• Need to be not just software developers, but also Designers, Architects, DevOps dudes and Managers mentoring and coaching each other
