Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) supports businesses in digitizing core operations and enabling new digital business opportunities via technology and information. Wärtsilä IM has defined a new strategy for the next 3 years and is currently going through a transformation to support even better the global businesses and operations of Wärtsilä.
ICT Sourcing and Partner Management is a part of Wärtsilä IM. The unit is responsible for ICT sourcing and procurement and partner management. We are now looking for an experienced ICT Sourcing manager to handle our partnerships, negotiations and contracts with selected key technology providers and system integrators. We are looking for an experienced sourcing professional with a track record of managing global partnerships at this scale. Passion and experience for developing sourcing tools, processes and ways of working is a definitive plus.
This position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidate will be located in Vaasa, Helsinki or Turku (Finland).
What will you be doing?
As an ICT Sourcing manager, your work will include the following responsibilities:
- Lead ICT contract negotiations and purchasing activities
- Manage ICT supplier performance
- Manage supplier co-operation and governance
- Develop supplier portfolio and supplier management processes
- Gather and analyze spend and supplier data
- Follow and share best practices and future trends, execute benchmarking
You will shine in this role if you have:
- M.Sc. or equivalent
- Over 5 years of experience in complex ICT partnerships and complex contract negotiations
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills in English and Finnish
- Strong experience in leading large and demanding ICT partnerships and contract negotiations
- Deep understanding of software licensing models, IT services and IT consultancy
- Excellent supplier management and strategic supplier steering experience
- Experience of ICT Service Management is a plus
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and recognize the relevant points
- Understanding of ICT supplier market and future IT trends
- Knowledge in sourcing process, sourcing methods and best practices
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong personal drive, used to take own initiatives and being pro-active
- Driven to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Independent, proactive, development-minded and goal focused attitude to work
