My name is Mika Kivelä, and I am leading the Infra Platforms & Networks team at Telia Inmics-Nebula – Part of Telia Company. Together we are looking for Senior System Engineer to join our awesome team!

You will be part of the Infrastructure team which consists of experts from different technology areas. Your main responsibilities will be related to Virtualization and Windows related systems.

You will have diverse tasks on different domains including virtualization, physical assets, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. You will be responsible for the diversity of tasks – all the way from hands-on maintenance to designing architecture and implementing projects on new technologies and existing systems. Good knowledge from any other area is a great asset!

We are working within the datacenters with Networks, Servers, Storage, Backup and Virtualization systems. Our team members work rather independently, but tightly collaborating with others with modern collaboration tools.

We are at the core of producing platforms and technology for customer solutions, and our main stakeholders are business operations and product teams across the company.

Our team is evolving, and we are looking for new colleagues to support our expertise.

Your location in Finland is flexible as your work is not tightly bound to location. You are good at expressing yourself in English, both oral and written. You produce excellent documentation of your work and are able to reflect and develop the way we work in our team.

Our ideal candidate has good knowledge and hands-on experience from:

• Vmware virtualization systems
• Microsoft servers and applications (Domain Services, NPS, DNS, etc)
• Design and implementation experience on datacenter infrastructure
• Hands-on experience in storage design and implementations (iSCSI or FCoE)
• Good understanding of backup systems and technologies (Commvault, Veeam)
• Basic knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, VLANs, LACP, etc) especially in a datacenter environment

We Value the Following Topics:

• Overall knowledge about Microsoft Products, Licensing models like SPLA, etc.
• Experience from DevOps tools ( GitHub, Docker, Terraform, Power automate, Jenkins etc )
• Basic scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
• Certificates
• Hyper-V and Xen virtualization systems
• Firewalls, load balancers
