We are now looking for a Project Purchaser, this is a permanent role and the preferred location for this position is Helsinki (Finland) or Belgrade (Serbia).
 
What you will be doing
The Project Purchaser is responsible for buying materials, equipment and professional services necessary to execute projects and maintain relationships with suppliers in a professional and transparent way.
 
As a Project Purchaser, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

  • Issue purchase orders, order confirmations, expediting and re-scheduling, report and discuss changes with project management
  • Follow procurement procedures and policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
  • Plan purchasing activities for assigned projects together with the project team
  • Solve project related problems with suppliers & internal stakeholders
  • Manage claims from/to suppliers in coordination with stakeholders (project team, sourcing organization)
  • Ensure availability of invoices and other required documents from suppliers
  • Verify & approve purchase invoices in coordination with suppliers and the finance personnel
  • Make request for quotations and participate in supplier negotiations within the assigned projects
  • Verify and develop new suppliers in cooperation with Strategic Purchasers for project specific purposes
  • Feedback supplier performance to Supply Management team
  • Manage inbound logistics related tasks, create and maintain delivery information in ERP systems
  • Instruct supplier with inbound logistic information, packaging and labelling, transport instructions as well as follow-up project specific documentation requirements
  • Participate actively in development of internal work processes
  • Co-operate actively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Drive the continuous improvement process together with selected project suppliers to reduce total cost of ownership
  • Develop active co-operation with the Supply Management team, the project teams and other stakeholders

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Solid understanding of sourcing and supply management. At least two years of experience in sourcing or project
  • Project management and project related way of working knowledge
  • Negotiation skills coupled with a strong focus on problem solving, quality, speed and cost
  • Solution oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability
  • Able to work in a distributed team and self-driven approach
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent command in English, both oral and written and good networking capacity, willingness to travel
  • Honesty and integrity are a must
  • SAP\Navision ERP and legal knowledge are seen as advantages
  • Marine Voyage products related technical background is seen as an advantage
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and/or Business or another relevant field
