Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) offers best-in-class IT services that bring highest possible value for our businesses. We support businesses in digitizing core operations and harvesting new digital business opportunities via technology and information. To respond to growing business demand and performance of IT organisation in ever complex business environment, we are strengthening our leadership team by recruiting a senior IT executive to lead our CIO Office activities and to act as right hand for the CIO. 

Few key activities in your roadmap include:
- Develop and support deployment of the demand and business engagement management model and business consulting capability on our journey towards strategic business partnership  
- Building transparency of enterprise wide digital development portfolio for maximal ROI for Wärtsilä 
- Developing and deploying modern and scalable IT operating model that drives overall performance of IT operations and accelerates speed of business development
- Develop financial planning and funding model to drive transparency, value and operational efficiency

Responsibilities
- Drive IT strategy development and deployment to support overall Wärtsilä digital strategy execution 
- Manage global IT and digital development portfolio to drive maximal value for Wärtsilä
- Manage and control global IT spend >100 Meur with financial accountability to meet set target
- Manage IT risks & compliance related activities in IM and towards internal and external auditors
- Manage and facilitate cross-Wärtsilä IM & Cyber Security Board for CIO (chairman) and CFO (sponsor) 
- Plan and facilitate all IM Management team, Leaders Forum and IT organisation level activities
- Manage and prepare all BoD, BoM and Business Management related presentations of IT 
- Manage marketing and communication of IM activities for key stakeholders
- Lead employee engagement and develop capabilities of your organization, with 25+ FTEs

Qualifications wished:
- M.Sc. in Information Technology or Economics & Business Administration
- Excellent management and leadership experience with capability to drive change 
- Proven track record of leading successful IT operating model transformation, managing enterprise-wide IT development portfolio and representing IT and digital to board of management members
- Currently an IT management team member in a global >1BN company or with a system integrator in a senior director position (past corporate IT side experience is a must though)
- Strong financial knowledge with capability to manage IT spend (+50 Meur per annum scale) and improve efficiency, make business case modelling and understanding of main profitability and business value drivers
- Proactive and goal-focused attitude to work with excellent influencing and decision-making skills
- Good knowledge of Marine and Energy industries is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English and highly advanced presentation skills 

Possible location for this position is Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland.
