Supplier Development Specialist

We are looking for a Supplier Development Specialist with the main responsibility in Turbochargers category within Supply Management. The preferred location for this position is in Vaasa, Helsinki, Turku, Finland. 


Your role and responsibilities


As a Supplier Development Specialist, your work will include working in a key role in supplier interface to actively support new product introduction and leading systematic quality assurance activities for the new components, initiating and driving improvement initiatives, support suppliers with their operational efficiency and development initiatives and supporting in complex problem-solving cases. You’ll be working as a part of Supplier Development team and component group-specific category team with diverse expertise.


Requirements for the position

  • Strong personal drive, being curious and used to take own initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with analytical mindset
  • Capability to apply lean principles and statistical process control in daily work and driving for continual improvement
  • Solid working experience in manufacturing processes, engineering or supply management
  •  M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalent experience

  • Strong skills in leading yourself and others to make impact
  • Well-developed and effective communication and influencing skills
  • Effective teamworking skills to enable succeeding and learning together
  • Understanding end-to-end processes with the value for customer in focus
  • Experience in SAP is seen as a benefit
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
