I am Thomas Mårtensson and I am supervising the Network Cloud Engineering and Support team in the Network Cloud and Continuous Deliver Unit. We are in the middle of an exciting transformation journey to Cloud Native, strengthening and improving our established vast Network Cloud estate. Security plays an increasingly important role in networks and Telia's central ambition to be the most secure partner in the Nordic market witnesses this. We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Security specialist to join our Network Engineering team in Stockholm or in Helsinki. The Network Cloud Engineering and Support Team is the team that builds, operates and maintains Telia Network Cloud private estate, carrying now over 70% of the network traffic.  You will be part of the team of senior engineers, directly responsible to secure the right level of security, quality and operation of the cloud platform.

In your role you will work in the technology unit with the main tasks of building, maintaining and operating the cloud platform that will continue to support existing services, enable the full potential of 5G and other future network services. The Cloud security specialist that we are looking for will be a key person in ensuring that our Network Cloud is engineered with integrated security in mind and that it will meet all current and future security requirements. In the role you will work very closely with both, the Architecture and the Development teams.

The role includes, but is not limited to:   

• Developing Network Cloud Security standards and together with the architecture team and development teams, securing the implementation of security functions for the Network Cloud and Services running on it.  

• Defining and supporting adoption of the Security by Design mindset in wider Network cloud community  

• Directing the integration of security in the engineering practices 

• Making sure that Network Cloud meets Telia's and legal security requirements also in the future  

• Defining the cloud native agenda together with your fellow Network Architects  

• Co-operation with Telia Group Security and other security specialists and key stakeholders

Your Experience:   

• Network and private cloud security experience  

• Understanding of cloud and virtualization concepts  

• Understanding of cloud native and container concepts  

• Understanding of service provider networking and network services  

• Capability to understand complex dependencies in service provider networks  

• Deep understanding of IP Networking and security  

• Deep hands-on technical experience on at least one of above

Good to have:

• Experience of VMWare Cloud technologies  

• Experience of industry best practice security controls implementation (such as CIS security benchmarks)  

• Understanding of PEN-testing and common attack vectors  

• Risk evaluation and scenario thinking   

• SAFe / Agile experience  

• Operational experience in networks/cloud platforms/IT-systems
